Nine (9) days after being admitted to practice, Jemalie A.K. John stood before the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court to represent his client at trial in a complex property dispute. Though he had no trial experience, he possessed a clear understanding of the legal principles of Land Law, Estate Administration & Conveyancing, which saw him successfully advocating on behalf of his first clients.
Six (6) months into practice, he stood before the Eastern Caribbean Court of Appeal to make legal submissions before the tribunal in another property dispute. Again, his submissions and articulation were nothing short of sublime. His early success at the Bar is an indication of his high level of dedication, discipline, focus and hard work. He works assiduously to become the complete advocate, a consummate professional.
While he has made appearances at all levels of the court hierarchy save the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, Mr. John understands the importance of negotiation and advocates strongly for Alternative Methods of Dispute Resolution as a Christian Attorney. He has therefore successfully negotiated with financial institutions on behalf of his clients and mediated settlements where family conflicts got contentious.
This level of competence is crucial as it gives clients the confidence they need knowing they have a legal partner who simplifies their legal conundrums.
Jemalie John is a graduate of the Brighton Methodist School, the St. Vincent Grammar School and the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College, Division of Arts, Science and General Studies. He pursued his tertiary education at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus and the Norman Manley Law School (NMLS). Jemalie John represented the NMLS at the American Caribbean Law Clinic Initiative at Stetson School of Law in Tampa, Florida.

Outside the office, Jemalie John is best known as a fun-loving youth leader. He has been so inclined since his younger years, serving as a prefect at Grammar School, the Welfare Officer of the Advent Fellowship Association, Cave Hill and the Constitutional Committee Chairperson at the Norman Manley Law School. He currently serves as the President of the Adventist Youth Ministries Advisory Council (AYMAC), the National Youth Council of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Perhaps the most notable accomplishment of the AYMAC is the rebuilding of the Boetica Seventh-Day Adventist Church located in Dominica. In September 2017, Dominica was ravaged by hurricane Maria, the worst natural disaster on record to affect Dominica, the deadliest Atlantic hurricane since 2004, the 10th most-intense hurricane on record and the most intense tropical cyclone worldwide in 2017. Of the 36 Adventist Churches on the island, all were damaged and only eight were operational immediately after the passage of the hurricane. At the time of its completion, Boetica SDA was the only operational church in its pastoral district.

Mr. John is also an avid writer, orator and musician. His other interests include event planning, traveling, technology, health & fitness, tennis, aviation, photography and interior decorating.
He particularly enjoys inspiring and challenging youths to pursue their highest aspirations at career days and graduation services.
